What kind of ministries do we have?

Norris Hill recognizes that obedience to Christ as His follower means service to others. Right now we have opportunities in several ways to serve as followers of Christ: First, we are charter affiliates with Calvary Home for Children. On our 55-acre campus we will one day have 10 houses in which abused and neglected children will live. Each house will accommodate 8-10 children. However, there is a lot of work to be done. We at Norris Hill raise money and provide material goods for the work already in progress. These goods include clothes, food, toys, etc. for the children living at the current site located off of SC-81. There is opportunity to volunteer at the Calvary Home Thrift Store or to work on the present houses being built. To know more about Calvary Home contact us.

Second, we have a food pantry here at the church. Our members voluntarily bring food for anyone who is in need. Also from this, we help provide food for Widow’s Watch ministries in Anderson. To know more about these please contact us.

Third, we have a reviving woman’s ministry that meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. During this time our ladies study Scripture, pray for our church and each other, and fellowship with one another sharing their needs and blessings. Any lady is invited to attend. They will be glad you came.

Finally, we have a neighborhood outreach program in progress that expresses to the community our desire to minister to it. We visit neighbors and ask for needs they may have in which we might be able to help them with.

Future ministries we are putting in place:

1.      VBS that we do each summer. (dates for 200 TBA)

2

3.      A college ministry for local college students

4.      A men’s ministry

5.      A senior citizens ministry
