Sightsavers Deworming Program– GiveWell named Sightsavers as one of the best seven leading charities for its excellent work of helping in the treatment of children for parasitic infections commonly referred to as Sightsavers Deworming Program. GiveWell, a non-profit organization, is involved in conducting an in-depth analysis geared towards finding and recommending the best charities to the relevant donors around the world. This followed GiveWell having to recommend Sightsavers to extend their deworming programs so that they would distribute treatment in various diseases such as schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminths (STH) forming part of the integrated NTD programs in Sub-Saharan African countries as well as Nigeria and Guinea Bissau. The company leadership showed appreciation in receiving the recommendation from the GiveWell and promised to work with them so that they would extend their reach to many people in Africa who were in need of their treatment help. The cooperation of the two organizations would result in a more significant impact to both scaling up the available programs as well as reaching out to discoveries.
